The Plastics

Over 10 years ago, the artists Carole Purnelle & Nuno Maya, began catching plastic washed ashore on Portuguese coast and beaches. With that, they created a contemporary art installation on this theme, The Beach Creatures, which revolves around the world.

Naturally, they used art to raise awareness about this serious pollution problem. Using multimedia to get the message across in more peculiar ways, instead of pointing the blame, they chose to share their passion for art and love for nature.
